The SCA Barista Courses and Coffee Skills Programme is an education system aimed to meet the needs of baristas and coffee professionals everywhere. SCA is a controlled and certified education system with a curriculum written and updated by the best coffee experts in the coffee industry.
SCA Barista Courses and Coffee Skills Program allows the coffee professionals to complete coffee/barista courses in six subject modules and three levels of certifications, amassing course credits each time a certification is successfully passed that count towards the 100 points needed to gain SCA internationally recognized Coffee Diploma. It’s your choice on the SCA coffee/barista modules you take to get you to 100 points. SCA Certification is based on both technical knowledge and practical examination.
SCA COFFEE SKILLS PROGRAM & CERTIFIED BARISTA COURSES
SCA accredited Introduction to Coffee module has one level and brings 10 points towards the Coffee Diploma; the other SCA coffee/barista modules have the following levels, each: Foundation, Intermediate and Professional.
SCA Foundation Level ( 5 points )
Perfect for those wanting to get a taste of a new area of coffee knowledge with no prior experience.
SCA Intermediate Level ( 10 points )
Suitable for those with a firm knowledge of the modules basics, or working in the area already wanting to consolidate their key skills.
SCA Professional Level ( 25 points )
Suitable for those with specialist knowledge of the module area who have worked in the area for some time and want to push their knowledge and skills to a high level.
