This is our most comprehensive course that will cover everything you need to know about espresso and espresso-based drinks and will give you all the knowledge and skills required from a barista
You will learn how to produce perfect espressos, calibrate the grinder, milk steaming techniques and latte art patterns. We will also cover health and safety, customer service, basic business and equipment maintenance. At the end of this course, you will be able to produce all the main drinks (cappuccino, latte, flat white, americano, white coffee, mocha, cortado, hot chocolate) and how to pour latte art. You will know how to brew coffee using alternative brewing methods and how to taste coffees by organising a cupping session. We will help you prepare for the job interview, offering you the knowledge, skills and a lot of tips to impress during any interview.

The course is globally accredited by the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA), the largest coffee association in the world. In Ireland, SCA has over 100 members including most of the coffee roasters, cafes and coffee chains like Bailies, Bewleys, Java Republic, Insomnia and many others. The SCA certification is recognised in USA, Canada, EU, Australia, China, South Korea, Japan, Russia and many other countries.
The certificate will be issued ONLY if the student passes a practical and an online exam. In order to take the exam and to receive the certificate, the students will have to create an account on the Speciality Coffee Association website.
